Women with breast cancer have low vitamin D levels

NewsRx.com

10-23-09

Women with breast cancer should be given high doses of vitamin D because a majority of them are likely to have low levels of vitamin D, which could contribute to decreased bone mass and greater risk of fractures, according to scientists at the University of Rochester Medical Center (see also University of Rochester Medical Center).

In a study of 166 women undergoing treatment for breast cancer, nearly 70 percent had low levels of vitamin D in their blood, according to a study being presented Thursday, Oct. 8, at the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s Breast Cancer Symposium in San Francisco.

The analysis showed women with late-stage disease and non-Caucasian women had even lower levels. “Vitamin D is essential to maintaining bone health, and women with breast cancer have accelerated bone loss due to the nature of hormone therapy and chemotherapy. It’s important for women and their doctors to work together to boost their vitamin D intake,” said Luke Peppone, Ph.D., research assistant professor of Radiation Oncology, at Rochester’s James P. Wilmot Cancer Center. He is a member of the National Cancer Institute’s Community Clinical Oncology Program research base in Rochester. Scientists funded by the NCI analyzed vitamin D levels in each woman, and the average level was 27 nanograms per milliliter; more than two-thirds of the women had vitamin deficiency.

Weekly supplementation with high doses of vitamin D — 50,000 international units or more — improved the levels, according to Peppone’s study. The U.S. Institute of Medicine suggests that blood levels nearing 32 nanograms per milliliter are adequate. This problem is not unexpected, Peppone said, because previous studies have shown that nearly half of all men and women are deficient in the nutrient, with vitamin D levels below 32 nanograms per milliliter. Vitamin D, obtained from milk, fortified cereals and exposure to sunlight, is well known to play an essential role in cell growth, in boosting the body’s immune system and in strengthening bones.

I hope this information is useful to take better care of yourself.

With my unconditional love,

The Power of forgiveness

The other day, I was talking with a girlfriend who is in a
process of getting divorced from her husband after 30 years
of marriage. After listening to her complaints for 30 minutes,
she declared, “I will never forgive him” for this, “I will
never forgive him” for that. Now, I can totally understand her

frustration.

However, what I do not understand is: What is she trying to
accomplish, by declaring, “I will never forgive him. Is she
trying to punish him by holding grudges forever? If she wants
to hold grudges and not forgive him, whom is she hurting? She
is definitely not hurting him because he does not know
anything about it.

So, who is really getting hurt if she does not forgive him?
Yes, you are right. She is hurting herself and only herself.

Many people think that to forgive someone is to say, “What
you did to me is OK. When we choose to forgive, we are simply
letting go of our end of the chain that keeps us enslaved to
the past and bound to that person and whatever happened. By
forgiving, we are taking our focus off a crippling vision of
what we do not want more of and replacing it with what we
desire to create.

By choosing to forgive and respond with love rather than
fear–we free ourselves. We sweep away the years of built-up
sludge that jam up the channels through which abundance of
every kind flows, and we move more firmly into our power to
manifest that peaceful, prosperous world we want to live in.

Forgiving is something that a person does for himself and
not for somebody else.

Some years ago, I had a serious upset with one of my family
members. The disagreement was so painful that my mind and
body went into a state of shock. I just could not get over
it.

A couple of weeks later, I noticed that I was losing my hair.
I would find hair just about everywhere: in the shower, in
my bed, on the kitchen floor. Slowly, slowly I noticed that
my hair started thinning at the front of my scalp.

I knew that the reason I was losing my hair was the upset I
experienced with my family member. However, I did not know
what to do about it and was not ready to go bald, at least
not yet!

I started panicking. I went to see a dermatologist who
prescribed Rogaine. Rogaine is some kind of liquid that you
put on the affected area and hope it will stop the thinning
of the hair.

I used it couple of times, but I did not like the side effects.
My hair became coarse and turned to a grayish color. The last
time I used it, I got dizzy and almost passed out. That was the
end of Rogaine for me.

I went to see another doctor who told me she did not have any
solution for my problem and advised me to “just get used to it
and accept it. She meant that I should accept the fact that I
was getting bald.

Now, you know how important hair is for women. I was not ready
to live with a “bad hair day” “every day” for the remainder of
my life.

At this point, I knew the problem was an emotional one that
manifested in the physical form. I had a moment of total
clarity and realized that I was concentrating on the fruits,
which are the results, instead of focusing on the roots that
created the results. I realized that I had to handle the
situation on an emotional level instead of on a physical level.

My spiritual adviser lived in Santa Barbara, so I drove up one
day and discussed my situation with her. She suggested doing
this simple exercise–one of forgiving.

It is called the “Compassion Exercise. Let me explain how it
is done.

I closed my eyes, put my attention on the person I needed to
forgive, and repeated to myself:

Just like me, this person is seeking happiness in their life.

Just like me, this person has known sadness, loneliness, and
despair.

Just like me, this person is trying to avoid suffering in
their life.

Just like me, this person is learning about life.

While doing the exercise, I put myself in their shoes and felt
how they felt. Slowly I released the negative energy that was
affecting my mind and my body, and let it drain out of me to
the universe.

By doing this exercise, I forgave the person and as a result,
my hair loss stopped.

What do you think happened here? It had to do with forgiveness.
It had to do with giving up the negative energy.

If I kept holding grudges and had not forgiven this person,
I would be very bald by now.

I would like to leave you with a question to contemplate:

If I insisted on saying, “I will never forgive this person,
who do you think would still be suffering–the other person
or me?
Here is a short exercise to do. Ask yourself the following
questions:

1. Against whom am I holding a grudge right now, today, this
moment? List as many as necessary!

2. In what way does holding these grudges enhance my life and
bring me peace?

3. In what way may holding these grudges be restricting me?
(Joy and happiness, relationships, career, finances,
self-esteem, stress, etc.)

4. Am I going to continue paying these prices and placing my
attention on what I do NOT want more of in my life?
Alternatively, do I choose to MAKE PEACE?

While you are asking yourself these questions, feel free to
use the tools from the above “Compassion Exercise”. Learn to
forgive yourself and other people who were involved in your
situation.

Make a note to yourself. How did you feel after you released
the negative energy and forgave yourself and others?

The Benefits of Forgiveness

“Forgive yourself for your faults and your mistakes and move on.
–Les Brown-

Generally speaking, it is easier to forgive others than
forgiving ourselves for our own mistakes. The best way to
learn how to forgive yourself is to make a list of everything
that you think you did from minor mistakes to bigger mistakes.
Then use the above exercise of forgiving yourself.

You will be surprised how lighter you will feel afterwards.

The benefits of forgiveness are too numerous to mention.
However, here are some fundamental benefits:

• Accelerated healing, both emotionally and physically
• Relief from stiffness and chronic pains
• Relief from depression and resentment
• Increase in physical strength
• Stress reduction
• Immune system booster
• Better digestion
• More positive outlook
• Increase awareness and intelligence
• More energy, more control (physically and mentally)
• Relief from self-sabotaging
• More restful sleep
• Longer life
• Increased happiness
• Faster reaction time
• Friendlier, more tolerant
• More successful
• Ability to establish new relationships
• Peace of mind
• A NEW LIFE

Could you benefit from any of these? Of course, you could!
In addition, the pathway to getting these benefits is
through forgiveness.

With my unconditional love,

The Meaning of Life in 700 words

by Story Waters – Updated April 19, 2007

You are amazing. You are the creation of yourself. You are that which creates. You are the choice to experience existence – beingness. The only limit to what you can be is your self-belief and your imagination. To be born into this reality is to enter a wonderful, shared illusion that grants you complete free-will in the creation of your own personal reality; this is your creatorship. Within the illusion we believe that we are looking at a separate, objective world where we experience self and other; beneath this apparent separation we are unified; we are one.

Reality is a mirror of your being. You are creation exploring itself in a space-time mirror. Through what you choose to believe you create your reality. You change your reality by changing your beliefs about both it and yourself. The eyes with which you look actually shape what you see (this is now shown in quantum physics).

Perception is not passive; it is an act of creation. Your choice of perception forms not only how you experience yourself, but your entire reality. Awakening to your creatorship leads your experience of reality to become more fluid and direct. This is to enter conscious creatorship where what you desire is quickly manifest. The key to conscious creatorship is the allowance of change; the birthing of the unknown into the known. The basis of allowance is acceptance.

To change your reality you must first accept it. As long as you reject what you do not like about your reality you are in denial of your creatorship, leaving you feeling stuck. To accept that you are choosing your reality, release attachment to any preconception of how life should be and instead love what is. This comes through the taking of complete responsibility for every element of your reality.

This is to love your choice. It is to love yourself. You are the choice of yourself. Release your fear. Fear is fear of the unknown, fear of being limitless. Fear creates limitation. There is a natural, beautiful unfolding to life that can only arise when you let go of the control that arises through fear. To face your fear is to allow yourself to be vulnerable and put down the shields you have used to protect yourself. All shields are a representation of a belief in danger and therefore lead you to the very danger you want them to protect you from. Whilst you are barricaded behind shields (fear) you will never truly feel safe. All that blocks you in life is the manifestation of your fear.

The discovery of freedom is the realization that the only force pushing against you is you. You hold the key to any cage you may be in. To cease to judge and control your own being is to release struggle and enter joyful, effortless creation. You are awakening to your creatorship and the nature of the illusion. This is a natural process and requires no more than fearlessly being yourself. This means opening and following your heart. This is your freedom: believe whatever your heart feels to believe.

This is to live in the Now. It is to awaken to the equality of all beingness and release judgment of both yourself and the world. Ever changing truth is the reflection of the ever unfolding birth of beingness that is life. In this state there is no such thing as ‘The Truth’. There is no need of an answer for there is no problem. Just be. There are no limits to what you can be; you are infinite. The joy of this life arises through completely allowing your own being. Within your heart is a dream. The meaning of life is to live that dream. You can only live that dream if you believe you can.

Believe in your dream. You are free to be whatever it is you wish to be. You are an embodiment of all creation.

Greetings,

On my next radio talk show “Waves of Healing” on 10/13/09 at 3pm PST, I will be interviewing a Kung-Fu and Chi Gung Master Alan Lamb. You can listen to show live on 10/13/09 at 3pm PST by login to www.blogtalkradio.com/Lea-Yekutiel.
AFTER YEARS OF TELLING PEOPLE CHEMOTHERAPY IS THE ONLY WAY TO TRY (‘TRY’, BEING THE KEY WORD) TO ELIMINATE CANCER, JOHNS HOPKINS IS FINALLY STARTING TO TELL YOU THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE WAY.

Cancer Update from Johns Hopkins :

1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion.. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.

2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person’s lifetime.

3. When the person’s immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumors.

4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors.

5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen the immune system.

6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow, gastrointestinal tract etc, and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc.

7. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs.

8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor size. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumor destruction.

9. When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.

10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other sites.

11. An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer cells by not feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply.. *CANCER CELLS FEED ON: a. Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses, but only in very small amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in color. Better alternative is Bragg’s aminos or sea salt. b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soy milk cancer cells are being starved. c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmf ul, especially to people with cancer. d A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment.. About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells. To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C). e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine. Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer fighting properties. Water-best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.

12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines becomes putrefied and leads to more toxic buildup.

13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body’s killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.

14. Some supplements build up the immune system (IP6, Flor-ssence, Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, EFAs etc.) to enable the bodies own killer cells to destroy cancer cells.. Other supplements like vitamin E are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body’s normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.

15. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor. Anger, un-forgiveness and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life.

16. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenate d environment. Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.

1. No plastic containers in micro.

2. No water bottles in freezer.

3. No plastic wrap in microwave.

Johns Hopkins has recently sent this out in its newsletters. This information is being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center as well. Dioxin chemicals cause cancer, especia lly breast cancer. Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells of our bodies. Don’t freeze your plastic bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the plastic. Recently, Dr. Edward Fujimoto, Wellness Program Manager at Cast le Hospital, was on a TV program to explain this health hazard. He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us. He said that we should not be heating our food in the microwave using plastic containers. This especially applies to foods that contain fat. He said that the combination of fat, high heat, and plastics releases dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body. Instead, he recommends using glass, such as Corning Ware, Pyrex or ceramic containers for heating food You get the same results, only without the dioxin. So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc., should be removed from the container and heated in something else. Pa per isn’t bad but you don’t know what is in the paper. It’s just safer to use tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc. He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons. Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran, is just as dangerous when placed&nbs p; over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food. Cover food with a paper towel instead.

I hope this article was educationalfor you and that you would adapt its content into your daily food intake.

The Ego

In most spiritual circles, the ego gets a pretty bad rap. The reason for this is that the ego, to some extent, is the principle in our psyches that separates us from one another, while spirit is the principle that shows us that no such separation exists. Sometimes the ego is depicted as an almost demonic figure that keeps us from realizing our true nature. But at its most basic, the ego is simply a tool that helps us organize the various aspects of our personality so that we can function in the world. In this sense, the ego is simply a way for us to understand and attend to ourselves at the same time as we understand and attend to the world around us.

The ego is a tool that we use to navigate the world. Perhaps the problem is that the ego sometimes gets out of control. This happens when the higher self loses control of the psyche. The psyche then falls under the leadership of the ego, an entity that was never meant to lead.

The ego is meant to be definitively in the service of the higher self. When this relationship is functioning, the ego is a useful intermediary representing the whole self but not thinking that it is the whole self. Then, it is almost as if the ego is the self playfully pretending to be the separate entity called “I.” Like an actor, the ego plays the roles that the world asks us to play in order to be part of the program.

In this way, the ego can be a tool enabling us to be in the world but not of it. As long as we are in touch with our higher selves, our egos are not a threat. They are simply useful tools in the service of spirit. We keep our egos in check when we continually nurture our awareness of who we really are. Then our egos are free to serve without trying ineffectually to rule. It is healthy to have ego, but like all things in life, ego functions best when it is in balance and harmony with your whole self.

Seeing Beyond Fearful Delusions

One of humanity’s biggest fears is losing what we have. It is healthy when fear of loss helps us take steps to protect what we have worked hard to attain, but it is unhealthy to continue to fear something we can do nothing about. We need to remember that focusing our energy on fear can actually create what scares us, and holding tightly to what we have keeps us from participating in the universal flow of abundance and instead creates stagnation. Since we can only really control our thoughts and our responses, gaining proper perspective may be key to conquering such fears.

The letters of the word “fear” can be used to stand for “False Evidence Appearing Real.” Fears of being separated from something or someone we feel we need for our security or happiness comes from a delusion—a distorted way of understanding ourselves and the world around us. When we understand that possessions are only representations of the energy at work in our lives, we can shift our attention to the right and proper place. We can stop fearing loss of money or success because when we understand how it is created, we can always create more.

We can stop fearing loss of possessions when we realize that they are not the source of our joy or well-being but only icing on our cakes. And when we understand the energy of love, we need not hold anyone too close for fear of losing them for we know that love does not diminish when it is given or shared but expands beyond boundaries of time or space.

By focusing our light on our fears, they are revealed as mere shadows that disappear in the presence of mind and spirit. We can choose instead to direct our thoughts and creative power toward things of true value—love, abundance, peace, passion, and joy. These are energies that are always available to us when we place ourselves confidently in the universal flow of abundance.

As most of you already know, I am a breast cancer survivor and had a mastectomy.

I had to face this challenge in my life all alone and it has not been an easy task. When I first diagnosed with breast cancer, I was so ignorant about the subject that I desperately needed some education. Therefore, I was referred to American Cancer Society for support and guidance. What I received was mostly boring statistics and protocols by a facilitator, who was not a breast cancer survivor herself.

During my recovery and still today I constantly run into so many women who are in my situation, but afraid to talk about having breast cancer or mastectomy, because of the fear how men will react to their new condition.

You’re about to discover the SECRETS that most women never know that they can Look Good & Feel Great after Mastectomy as a results of Breast Cancer…
Overcoming Fear of Intimacy after Mastectomy does NOT need to be a struggle in order to have an intimate relationship with a man.

When I realized how many women affected by breast cancer and how dire the situation were, I felt that something has to be done in order to shed some light on the situation.

I published my book entitled “Making the Breast of It” with a subtitle “Overcoming Fear of Intimacy After Mastectomy.”

Soon after the book published, I contacted American Cancer Society to let them know about my book and its subject. I requested if we could work together in order to bring the book to the attention of those women who would benefit from reading the book.

Oh, yes! I did get a response from American Cancer Society, telling me that they have their own writer, who is writing about the same exact issue and they do not have a use for my book.

Here are my problems with the American Cancer Society’s writer:

1. The American Cancer Society’s writer is a MALE not a FEMALE.

2. The American Cancer Society’s writer being a male, did not experience how it feels to loose a breast to mastectomy.

3. The American Cancer Society’s writer does not have a clue how empty a woman can feel after she lost a breast that represented her womanhood.

4. How American Cancer Society’s writer can relate to this women issue?

5. Why American Cancer Society did not recognize this painful issue to write about during all the years of their existence?

My questions to you are:

A. Is American Cancer Society for Real?

B. Is American Cancer Society helping us when we need them?

C. What are exactly the functions of American Cancer Society?

D. Is American Cancer Society’s existence more helpful to the pharmaceutical companies or to cancer patients? Or

E. Maybe they need to keep their nine to five jobs and just keep appearances!

I appreciate any of your comments about this issue.

With my unconditional love,

Alcohol and health. Good for you, bad for you.
Back and forth the debate rages. Some studies
indicate that moderate drinking improves
health and extends life (particularly in terms
of heart health), whereas other studies indicate
it may be implicated in an increased risk of
breast cancer for women — one of the leading
causes of cancer death in women around the world.
In recent years, there’s been some focus on what
women can do to decrease their risk of breast
cancer — such as breastfeeding and eating a
good diet. But one thing they’ve been
consistently urged to do is stop drinking
alcohol. And now new studies may reinforce that
conclusion, while at the same time helping shed
some light on exactly how alcohol affects the
body and raises the risk of breast cancer.

According to findings presented last week at
the annual meeting of the American
Association for Cancer Research, in San Diego,
alcohol, consumed even in small amounts, may
significantly increase the risk of breast
cancer — particularly
estrogen-receptor/progesterone-receptor
positive breast cancer. Further, the findings
are supported by a second study that found an
association between breast cancer risk and two
genes involved in alcohol metabolism.

Alcohol and estrogen/progesterone receptor
based breast cancers The first study followed
more than 184,000 postmenopausal women for an
average of seven years. Those who had less than
one drink a day had a 7 percent increased risk
of breast cancer compared to those who did not
drink at all. Women who drank one to two drinks
a day had a 32 percent increased risk, and those
who had three or more glasses of alcohol a day
had up to a 51 percent increased risk. The risk
was seen mostly in those 70 percent of tumors
classified as estrogen receptor- and
progesterone receptor-positive. The researchers
suspect that alcohol may have an effect on
breast cancer via an effect on estrogen in the
body.

The risk was similar whether women consumed
beer, wine, or hard liquor. Alcohol consumption
in any form was the common denominator. What
the exact mechanism is that might lead to this
increase in cancer is not known. It is suspected
that in some forms of breast cancer, malignant
cells have receptors that render them sensitive
to hormones such as estrogen. These tumors
referred to by doctors as being
estrogen-receptor/progesterone-receptor
positive (ER+/PR+) breast cancers.

And in fact the study found that alcohol
specifically increased the risk most for
ER+/PR+ tumors — the most common type of
breast cancer in postmenopausal women. In
normal circumstances, when women reach
menopause, levels of both estrogen and
progesterone in their bodies fall
precipitously, which, according to the
medical establishment, should lead to fewer
of these tumors. But the study found that
post-menopausal women actually had higher
rates of these hormone-responsive tumors if
they drank alcohol. And the more they drank,
the higher the risk. As I stated earlier, the
study found that drinking less than one
serving of alcohol a day still resulted in a
7% increase of risk for the ER+/PR+ types of
breast cancer. And drinking as much as three
servings of alcohol per day vaulted your
risk upwards to 51%.

It is important to note that in women with
estrogen-receptor negative, progesterone-
receptor negative (ER-/PR-) tumors, there
appeared to be no link between drinking and
breast cancer.

The question of course arises, “Why would
drinking alcohol raise the risk of hormone-
fueled tumors regardless of receptor sites?”
As I mentioned earlier, the answer seems to be
that alcohol interferes with estrogen
metabolism, which in turn increases the risk
of hormone-sensitive breast cancer. We will
talk more about this later, but for now, let’s
take a look at the second study I mentioned.

Second study will be emailed to you next week.

Rooting Down

For many people, apprehension manifests itself in
the physical self as a potent feeling of heaviness
or nausea situated in the depths of the lower abdomen.
And it is there, at the seat of the second or sacral
chakra, that we must lovingly and deliberately confront
the anxiety. By rooting down into the deepest physical
reaches of ourselves, we can cleanse ourselves of unease
and replenish the space it has left behind with tranquil
awareness. Much of what we encounter in our daily lives
has the potential to awaken feelings of nervousness within
us or make us question whether we are truly in control of
our lives. When you establish a den of peace within your
core, you empower yourself to act rather than react in
distressing situations. Your balanced second chakra helps
you respond productively to the turmoil around you while
your inwardly directed attention steadies you.

There are many ways to restore your strength and clear
negative energy from your core. To ground yourself and
regain your emotional equilibrium, concentrate on the
second chakra, picturing it as a funnel of vivid orange
light. Reach down toward that light with your awareness
and channel your breath into the space it occupies. As
you balance the chakra, you will become more adaptive
and thus better able to stand strong when faced with
rapidly changing conditions. You can channel healing
energy into your core by visualizing the area below your
belly button as an open space into which you channel
white, loving light. Like light and air, sound can be a
wonderful tool that helps you find your center. Your
voice, when drawn from your core in the form of a deep
roar or loud shout, can be the vehicle upon which your
anxiety is conveyed into the ether. Take a low stance,
much like a football player, root your feet into the
earth, and then roar like a lion. Really feel it in your
bell! y. It may sound silly, but chances are you will feel
much less anxious and much more grounded into your body.

A situation that seems hopeless when viewed from a
perspective colored by fear may become easily manageable
when approached with a serene heart and mind. As you root
down into your core, you discover that the trepidation
and helplessness you feel within you is not invincible.
Rather, it will respond readily to your efforts to
eradicate it, leaving you feeling peaceful and capable of
calmly handling any challenging circumstances that arise.

Final – Freestyle

Greetings everyone,

First of all please log into my talk radio show

Most people don’t always fully realize that we all have
within us the ability to cocreate our lives with the
universe. So many of us are taught to accept what we
are given and not even to dream of anything more. But
our hopes and dreams are the universe whispering to us,
planting an idea of what’s possible while directing us
toward the best use of our gifts. The universe truly
wants to give us our hearts’ desires, but we need to be
clear about what they are and ask for them.

To ask for something does not mean to beg or plead from
a place of lack or unworthiness. It’s like placing an
order—we don’t need to beg the salesperson for what we
want or prove to them that we deserve to have it. It is
their job to give us what we ask for; we only have to
tell them what we want. Once we have a clear vision of
what we desire, we simply step into the silent realm
where all possibilities exist and let our desires be
known. Whatever methods we use to become still, it is
important that we find the quiet space between our
thoughts.

From that still and quiet place, we can announce our
intentions to the pure energy of creation. By imagining
all the details from every angle, including scent, color,
and how it would feel to have it, we design our dreams
to our specifications. Similar to dropping a pebble into
a pond, the ripples created by our thoughts travel
quickly from this place of stillness, echoing out into
the world to align and orchestrate all the necessary
details to bring our desires into manifestation. Before
leaving this wonderful space to come back to the world,
release any attachment to the outcome and express
gratitude. By doing this daily, we focus our thoughts
and our energy while regularly mingling with the essence
that makes it possible to build the life of our dreams.

With my unconditional love,
